I am Eva and I am a Spanish teacher. I was born in Barcelona (Spain) and have taught in different countries for the last ten years. I am a qualified tutor and blah blah blah.
This is more or less the same information that every language tutor provides, so I guess that this doesn't tell you much about me.
I don't think that I am a special or extraordinary teacher, I don't have a magic formula to make students learn effortlessly either.
What I do is have fun doing my job. If I have fun teaching most probably you will also have fun learning. Boredom kills motivation. In my opinion, every teacher should keep this as a mantra.
I have a taste for work well done and I don't like to waste my time or make others waste it.
Now it's your turn to decide if what I do could be interesting for you using your own criteria and experience. If you are still doubting the text below may help you to take a decision.
Every week we have great conversations about culture, politics, movies, travel and music, with helpful exercises to learn new grammar concepts and vocabulary. She’s an amazing teacher, incredibly well-prepared and knowledgeable—I can finally speak Spanish without fear. (1/2)
I have been taking lessons with Eva for two years, commencing as an absolute beginner to now an intermediate Spanish learner. Being a high school teacher, my expectations as a student of my own teacher are higher than the average learner. But my high hopes have been met by Eva, who is not only professional, but supportive and understanding of my individual learning process. I’m not sure if I would have remained as consistent with my Spanish learning if I did not have Eva’s support. She explains Spanish grammar, syntax and lexicology in an accessible way and incorporates topics I’m interested in into our lessons, particularly related to Spanish culture. Thank you Eva for your ongoing support and fostering my love of the Spanish language.
Brilliant! I really enjoyed it. She was easy to understand and seemed to understand most of what I was trying to say! She showed me some of her ideas for generating future conversations which look good. I look forward to our next lesson!
My lesson with Eva was great! She spoke Spanish from the start and she was very easy to understand and the exercises we went through helped me speak more than I am used to (and more than I expected). I was surprised at how quickly the time went because the class had a great flow and setup. I knew within the first 10 minutes that I would be booking Eva as a teacher! Paige S.
Spanish class with Eva is so much fun! I spent years trying to improve my Spanish through apps and videos, but I couldn’t actually speak or communicate. Within a few months of starting lessons with Eva my confidence in Spanish skyrocketed and I’m finally able to have conversations with native speakers! (2/2)
I learned more from Eva in a 30 minute introductory lesson than i learned from 6 weeks of Spanish lessons in a language school. She didn’t try to teach me verb tenses–just an ease into conversation which is exactly what I want and need.
